Toyota Innova Hycross Variants Explained

Toyota India has revealed the Innova Hycross in India. Interested customers can now book the new MPV for a token amount of Rs 50,000 ahead of its possible launch in January 2023. Unlike its predecessor, the new-gen Toyota Innova Hycross is a petrol-only offering that will be available in five variants. So, here’s take a look at what each variant of the new Innova Hycross has on offer. But first, have a look at its specifications: –

Toyota Innova Hycross Specifications

The Innova Hycross is a front-wheel drive MPV, powered by a 174PS 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, coupled with a CVT automatic transmission. The same engine can also be had with a self-charging strong-hybrid system that makes a combined output of 186PS and comes paired with an e-CVT. Toyota claims the latter can deliver a fuel efficiency of up to 21.1kmpl.

1. G (Petrol)

  • Seating Options: 7/8 seater.
  • Engine: 2-litre petrol with CVT.
  • Key Features: Auto LED headlamps, front grille with gunmetal finish, fabric upholstery, analogue instrument cluster with 4.2-inch MID, 4-speaker audio system, dual front airbags, all disc brakes, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control, and hill hold assist.

2. GX (Petrol)

  • Seating Options: 7/8 seater.
  • Engine: 2-litre petrol with CVT.
  • Key Features (over G): 16-inch alloy wheels, dual LED headlamps, smart entry with push button start, 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, driver-seat height adjustment (manual).  

3. VX (Hybrid)

  • Seating Capacity: 7/8 seater
  • Engine: 2-litre petrol-strong hybrid with e-CVT.
  • Key Features (over GX): Full LED rear combination lamp, triple LED headlamps with LED position lamp, chrome ornamentation, auto AC, dual-tone fabric, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, soft-touch dashboard, paddle shifters, and retractable sunshade.

4. ZX (Hybrid)

  • Seating Capacity: 7 seater
  • Engine: 2-litre petrol-strong hybrid with e-CVT.
  • Key Features (over VX): Powered tailgate, dual-zone AC, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple Carplay, 9-JBL sound system, Quilted leather seats, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with memory + Slide Return & Away function, and 6 airbags.

5. ZX (O) (Hybrid)

  • Engine: 2-litre petrol-strong hybrid with e-CVT.
  • Key Features (over ZX): Panoramic roof with mood lighting, powered ottoman captain seats in 2nd row, ventilated front seats, and Toyota Safety Sense (ADAS) suite.
