This New TVS-Aegis Helmet Has AR-Based Heads-up Display

TVS Motor Company has unveiled a next-gen Augmented Reality (AR) heads-up display (HUD) helmet at EICMA 2025. The brand has developed it with Swiss startup Aegis Rider.

The Aegis Rider Vision Helmet, featuring TVS branding, leverages spatial anchoring and AR technology to project key ride data, such as navigation cues, speed, and hazard alerts—directly into the rider’s line of sight. This first-of-its-kind system enhances situational awareness by allowing riders to stay focused on the road while receiving real-time information, redefining the boundaries of connected riding.

Demonstrations at the event featured the helmet integrated with the TVS Apache RTR 310, showcasing its seamless connectivity and intuitive interface. The helmet’s carbon-fibre shell houses a magnetic binocular AR glass, µOLED projector, and Qualcomm processor, paired with a 7,000mAh rechargeable battery offering up to four hours of operation.

The system connects wirelessly to the motorcycle’s infotainment and smartphones, delivering navigation, call and message alerts, music control, and even video capture through a 5MP action camera. It also features adaptive brightness and anti-glare properties for clear visibility in varied lighting conditions. TVS claims that the helmet meets global safety certifications, including ECE 22.06 and DOT.

The partnership underscores TVS’s commitment to advanced rider-assist technologies and its broader vision of connected, intelligent mobility.
