TVS Motor Company has finally forayed into the adventure segment with the all-new Apache RTX 300. It will be available in three variants – Base, Top, and BTO (Built To Order), priced at Rs 1.99 lakh, Rs 2.14 lakh and Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

TVS Apache RTX 300 Engine Details
- At the heart of the Apache RTX 300 is an all-new 300cc RT-XD4 engine that puts out 36hp at 9,000rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, making it the TVS’ second most powerful bike after the Apache RR 310. TVS claims it has been tuned to offer smooth, linear power delivery throughout the rev range with a strong focus on low-end torque.
- The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter for seamless gear shifts, enhancing both performance and convenience.

TVS Apache RTX 300: Underpinnings and Features
- Based on the steel trellis frame, the new Apache RTX 300 is designed mainly for tarmac use, with enough versatility to take on light off-road trails.
- suspended on a 41mm USD fork and a monoshock at the rear, with 180mm travel.
- It rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, shod with dual-sport tyres. ground clearance standing at 200mm.
- It has a seat height of 835mm and a kerb weight of 180kg.
- For braking, the bike gets disc brakes at both ends, with a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS) as standard.

- In terms of features, the bike comes equipped with four riding modes (Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally), cruise control, Class D headlamp with DRLs, and a 5-inch TFT display with the TVS SmartXonnect app that enables Google Maps mirroring and other connected features. The range-topping BTO variant also gets adjustable suspensions and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
- TVS has also collaborated with Givi for a range of touring accessories, including panniers, top boxes, and tank bags.

Going by the pricing, the new Apache RTX 300 locks horns with the Suzuki V-Strom SX and Yezdi Adventure. It also undercuts the KTM 250 Adventure (Rs 2.40 lakh) by a huge margin.
