The All-Electric Mahindra XUV400 To Be Revealed On September 8

The long-awaited Mahindra XUV400 has been teased officially. It is essentially an all-electric version of the XUV300, which will make its global debut on September 8, 2022.

The teaser video also reveals the front facia of the upcoming compact SUV. It features LED projector headlamps which look similar to its ICE counterpart. However, the unique design of its front grille features black-and-gold elements with the brand’s twin-peaks logo embossed in gold that we have seen recently on the upcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 and XUV.e9.

The Mahindra XUV400 is likely to share its underpinning with the XUV300. However, reports are also suggesting that it will be around 200mm longer than its regular ICE version to accommodate the electric powertrain. This will also result in better cabin space.

Inside, we expect the dashboard design to be slightly revamped, along with the addition of a larger AdrenoX-powered touchscreen infotainment system. It could also be equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

While technical details are bleak at the moment, rumors are pointing out that it will be a front-wheel-drive offering that will come with two high-energy density Lithium-ion NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery pack options from LG Chem.

More details about the Mahindra XUV400 are expected to be revealed in the coming days. So, stay tuned with us.
