Tata Tiago EV Records Over 10,000 Bookings On The First Day

Over 10,000 units of Tata Tiago EV were reserved on October 10, the very first day of the commencement of bookings. With this huge customer response, the carmaker has now decided to extend the introductory pricing, which ranges from Rs 8.49-11.79 lakh (ex-showroom), for an additional 10,000 customers. 

As per the brand the deliveries of electrified Tiago will commence from January 2023 and the production of 24kWh battery pack variants will be prioritized. It will soon be on display across leading malls across major cities of the country. However, customers will have to wait till late December to try their hands on it.

The Tata Tiago EV is available in four variants: XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech LUX. It is based on the same platform as its ICE counterpart. However, minor cosmetic changes have been made to give it a slightly distinct identity.

Tata offers the Tiago EV with two battery pack options: a 19.2kWh offering a maximum range of 250km on a single charger and a 24kWh battery providing 315km of MIDC range. A 61PS/105Nm-rated synchronous electric motor comes mated to the former battery pack, while the latter gets a more powerful 75PS/114Nm electric motor. The electric hatch also benefits from two drive modes (City & Sport), and four levels of regenerative braking.

Tata has loaded the Tiago EV up to the brim. Highlights include automatic projector headlamps, hyper-styled wheels, DRLs, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 8-speakers Harmon premium sound system, connected car tech with smartwatch connectivity support, height adjustable driver’s seat, premium leather upholstery, push button start, electric tailgate release, and much more.

Safety in ensured by dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, speed sensing door lock, impact sensing door unlock, etc. Here check out the most value-for-money variant of the Tata Tiago EV.
