Tata Sierra ICE Version Made A Comeback, Launch Soon

  • Retains Sierra’s iconic glass design.
  • Likely to be launched in H2 of 2025.
  • Will be offered in electric, petrol, and diesel versions.

The much-anticipated Tata Sierra has finally been revealed in a close-to-production guise at the ongoing Auto Expo 2025. It is expected to be launched in the upcoming months and will be offered in petrol, diesel and all-electric avatars.

Tata Sierra launch date

Based on Tata’s ATLAS architecture, the newly unveiled Tata Sierra ICE version retains the Sierra’s iconic wraparound glass effect on either side of the cabin. However, unlike the OG Sierra which was a 3-door model, the Sierra EV is a 5-door offering, featuring flush-fitting door handles for a cleaner look. Upfront the Sierra features plenty of silver and piano black elements on the grille, bumper and body cladding. It features a split headlamp setup with an LED light bar covering the width of the SUV.

The other notable design highlights include squared-off wheel arches, dual-tone alloy wheels, and connected LED taillamps.

Inside, the Sierra sports a three-screen setup. It also gets a panoramic sunroof, premium sound system, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, and level-2 ADAS suite.

Underneath the hood, the Sierra is likely to house the brand’s new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol (170PS/280Nm) and the Harrier’s 2-litre diesel engine albiet in a different state of tune. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer. Interestingly, it will also get an optional all-wheel-drivetrain (AWD) setup.

Tata Sierra diesel

Tata Motors is likely to launch the electric version of the Sierra before the ICE version. We expect it will make its market debut in the second half of 2025.
