The Tata Nexon CNG has finally been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker offers it in eight variants: Smart(O), Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+ and Fearless+ PS. Tata Nexon iCNG – Powertrain and Mileage

Powering the Tata Nexon CNG is the SUV’s 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It produces a peak power output of 99PS and a torque of 170Nm, with an impressive claimed fuel efficiency (mileage) of about 24 km/kg. It comes equipped with dual CNG cylinders, with a combined capacity of 9 kg.

Competition Check

In the sub-4m SUV segment, the Nexon CNG faces rivaly with the likes of Maruti Brezza CNG and Fronx CNG.
