Tata Nexon CNG Launched In India At Rs 8.99 Lakh

The long-awaited Tata Nexon CNG has finally been launched in India, with ex-showroom prices starting from Rs 8.99 lakh. With this, the Nexon has become the first mass-market car to offer a comprehensive range of powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, electric and CNG across its wide portfolio.

Tata is offering the Nexon CNG in eight variants: Smart, Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+ and Fearless+ S. Here’s a look at their pricing: –

Tata Nexon iCNG – Powertrain and Mileage

The Nexon CNG is powered by the SUV’s 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. It produces a peak power output of 99PS and a torque of 170Nm, with an impressive claimed fuel efficiency of roughly 24 km/kg.

Thanks to Tata’s innovative twin-cylinder design, the Nexon iCNG allows for a usage boot space of 321 litres which is ideal for a family’s weekend trip.

As for the features, the Nexon CNG comes loaded with a first-in-segment panoramic sunroof, auto LED headlamps, sequential LED DRLs with welcome & goodbye functions, rain-sensing wipers, leatherette seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, wireless smartphone charger, air purifier, ventilated front seats, auto AC, rear AC vents, height-adjustable driver & co-driver seat, six airbags, 360-degree camera and much more.

In the sub-4m SUV segment, the Nexon iCNG will face competition from the Maruti Brezza CNG, which is priced between Rs 9.29 lakh and Rs 12.26 lakh (ex-showroom).
