Tata Harrier EV Launch Date Revealed

After being showcased in production-spec guise at the 2025 Auto Expo, the Tata Harrier EV is all set to hit the markets on June 3, 2025. This electric flagship EV from Tata Motors will be placed over the Curvv EV in the brand’s current electric vehicle lineup.

Tata Harrier EV – Design

The electrified Harrier looks largely similar to its diesel counterpart except for a few EV-specific elements like a redesigned bumper with vertical slats and a blanked-out grille with horizontal lines. However, bits like vertically stacked LED headlamps positioned below the full-width light bar remain unchanged.

Things remain largely the same from the side and rear, except for the changes like aero-optimised alloy wheels (size hasn’t been specified yet) and a redesigned rear bumper with vertical slats that mimic the front unit. The ‘.EV’ badge on the front doors and ‘HARRIER.EV’ lettering on the tailgate further differentiate it from its ICE version. Tata has also finished the body cladding in silver for added contrast.

Interior and Features

The familiarity continues inside the cabin as well. However, what stands apart is the grey-and-white scheme that gives it a more premium feel.

Regarding features, the Harrier.ev is expected to get EV-specific amenities like vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle charging support, which allow the EV to power any other external device or charge another EV. It is also reported to get a “Summon Mode”, which allows the vehicle to move forward or backwards using the keyfob. This feature is very useful in tight parking spaces or crowded areas.

Besides features like a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, connected car tech, a 10-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer, powered front seats with ventilation function, multi-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, front & rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite will be carried forward from its ICE version.
