Tata Altroz Racer Officially Teased; Launch Soon

Tata Motors has officially teased the upcoming Altroz Racer for the first time ahead of its expected launch in mid-June. We anticipate bookings for this Hyundai i20 N-Line rival will commence pretty soon.

Tata Altroz Racer – What’s New?

The Altroz Racer will not undergo any design changes; however, it will feature some new visual enhancements to give it a sporty appearance. These will include a sportier dual-tone shade with the hood, roof and ORVMs finished in black, complemented by twin white strips on the roof and the hood, giving it a sense of a racing car. As seen in the teaser, there will also be black decals on the side doors.

Inside, the Altroz Racer is likely to flaunt an all-black scheme with a vibrant orange hue on the dashboard, door trims and leather upholstery. It is also expected to feature a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless integration support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new digital driver’s display, a heads-up display, and the segment’s first ventilated front seats, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera.

Enhanced Performance

The Tata Altroz Racer is expected to be equipped with the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine found in the Altroz iTurbo, but tuned for higher performance. It is expected to produce 120PS of max power and 170Nm of peak torque, an increase of 10PS/30Nm over the standard Altroz iTurbo. Transmission options may include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT.

Expected Price

The Tata Altroz Racer is anticipated to be priced from around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Hyundai i20 N Line.
