Tata Altroz Automatic – Expectations
- While it is not official, we believe that Tata will offer the two-pedal convenience with Altroz’s 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is good for 110PS of maximum power and 140Nm of peak torque. Tata also offers the premium hatchback with 86PS 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 90PS 1.5-litre diesel engine.
- As of now, all these power mills only come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, all Tata Altroz rivals such as Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno, VW Polo, and Honda Jazz offer both manual and automatic transmission choices. Here’s a look at the model-wise gearbox options of the key competitors of Altroz:-

- With all these changes, expect the Tata Altroz Automatic to command a significant premium over its ongoing turbo-petrol variants, which are priced from Rs 8.1 lakh to Rs 9.4 lakh (ex-showroom).
