Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Adventure Bike Launched In India

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the V-Strom 800DE adventure bike in India at an introductory price of Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Its bookings are now open both online and at Suzuki’s big-bike dealerships across the country.

Let’s quickly delve into all the necessary details that you should know about the new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE ADV tourer: –

  • Powered by Suzuki’s new 776cc, 270-crank parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that delivers 84.3PS of max power and 78Nm of peak torque.
  • The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with bidirectional quickshifter as standard that enables you to shift up or down without operating the clutch level while in motion.
  • It also benefits from four riding modes, three traction control settings with gravel mode, and dual-channel ABS.
  • The V-Strom 800DE boasts the identical steel frame as its recently revealed naked counterpart, albeit with an elongated and reinforced subframe. This modification enhances its capability to accommodate both a pillion rider and additional luggage.
  • When fully fueled with its 20-litre tank, the V-Strom 800DE weighs 230kg.
  • It offers a relatively tall seat height of 855mm.
  • LxWxH — 2345 x 975 x 1310 mm
  • The bike has 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels and a ground clearance of 220mm.
  • Showa USD forks at the front, with 220mm wheel travel, and Showa rear monoshock take care of suspension duties.

  • For rider’s convenience, Suzuki has equipped the bike with a ribe-by-wire electronic throttle system, Suzuki Easy Start System, low RPM assist, height adjustable windscreen, knuckle cover, plastic undercover, LED lighting system, USB charging port, and coloured TFT LCD display.
  • Suzuki offers the V-Strom 800DE in three colour options – Champion Yellow No. 2, Glass Matte Mechanical Gray and Glass Sparkle Black.
  • In the ADV segment, it goes up against the Triumph Tiger 900, Honda XL750 Transalp, and BMW F 850GS.
