Skoda Rapid Matte Edition – What's New?

The design of the Skoda Rapid Matte Edition is similar to the standard model; however, it has been coated in an exclusive carbon steel matte grey shade straight from the factory that’s further enriched by a number of glossy blacked-out elements such as radiator grille, ORVMs, door handles, lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Rapid Matte Edition flaunts a new dual-tone Tellur Grey cabin theme with premium black leatherette upholstery and Alcantara inserts. Additionally, it also gets a USB air purifier, stainless-steel scuff plates with Rapid inscription, and high visibility performance bulbs.

Author's Take

First showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, the production version of the Rapid Matte Edition is slightly different from its concept model. Still, it looks quite attractive and can be a perfect choice for those who want a distinctive-looking offering from the crowd. In fact, this is the second mass-market model after the Kia Seltos X-line to come with a factory-finished matte color shade.
