Skoda Octavia RS Confirmed For India; Pre-Bookings Opening From October 6

Skoda Auto has officially confirmed the launch of the Octavia RS in India, with pre-launch bookings set to commence on October 6. Similar to the Volkswagen Golf GTI, this performance-focused version of the Octavia will be offered in limited numbers via the CBU route. Its prices will be announced on October 17, 2025.

The Skoda Octavia RS promises a sportier design, enhanced features and powerful performance, aimed at exciting enthusiasts in the premium sedan segment.

Exterior

Starting with the design, the Octavia RS flaunts a couple of aggressive design touches over the regular model. These includes glossy-black treatment for the butterfly grille, flanked by dual-pod matrix LED headlamps with RS-specific detailing, a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes, blacked-out ORVMs, and aerodynamically optimised 18-inch dual-tone alloys.

The rear is dominated by a sporty diffuser, dual exhaust outlets, and a subtle boot-lid spoiler that underscores its sporty intent. Furthermore, the RS badging at the front and rear reinforces its high-performance character, making the Octavia RS a striking blend of elegance and aggression.

Interior and Features

Inside, it gets RS-exclusive touches such as leather-wrapped sports seats with contrast stitchings, an RS-branded steering wheel with ‘Skoda’ lettering and aluminium pedals, giving it a driver-focused cabin feel.

Its all-black dashboard hosts a 13-inch free-standing touchscree infotainment at the centre, along with a 10-inch digital driver’s display behind the steering wheel. It will offer custom RS themes for a sporty experience.

Engine Details

The UK-spec Skoda Octavia RS comes with a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine rated at 265PS and 370Nm. Mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, this 3-box beast can clock the 100 kmph mark in just 6.4 seconds before attaining a top-speed of 250 kmph.

Competition Check

Once launched, the Octavia RS will serve as a sporty alternative to the Audi A4, Mercedes A-Class and BMW 2 Series.
