Skoda Kushaq Style AT With 6-Airbags And TPMS To Launch In November

We all know that Skoda is gearing up to update the Kushaq's top-spec Style AT and DSG automatic variants with a total of six airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system. Now, it has been reported that Kushaq Style with these additional safety features will launch in the first week of November 2021, with their deliveries starting by the end of the month.

Skoda Kushaq Style AT

Needless to say, this update will raise the prices of these Kushaq variants. Currently, the 1.0-Style automatic trim costs Rs 15.80 lakh, while its 1.5-liter DSG version will set you back by Rs 17.60 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). Definitely expect a premium of around Rs 40,000 from them.

As of now, only the Style manual variant of the Skoda Kushaq comes with these above-mentioned safety features, while the top-spec automatic variants only come with dual front airbags and miss out on TPMS. This probably has been done to keep their prices in check. But on the customer's feedback, Skoda is now updating these trims.

The other notable features of the Kushaq Style include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, high-performance 6-speakers premium sound system with subwoofer, single-pane electric sunroof, cruise control, ambient lighting, auto headlamps with coming/leaving the home function, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, ventilated front seats, electronic stability control (ESC), multi-collision braking, and much more. Click here for Skoda Kushaq's variant-wise features details.

Under the hood, the Skoda Kushaq is available with two turbocharged petrol engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TSI. While the smaller capacity motor generates 115PS and 178Nm, the latter makes out 150PS/250Nm. The 1.5-litre mill also comes with an Active Cylinder Deactivation Technology that shuts off two of four cylinders in low load conditions to ensure high fuel efficiency and low carbon emissions. Both engines get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard with their respective automatic transmission options.

In other news, Skoda will introduce the Rapid's successor model by the end of this year that will be known as Skoda Slavia. Based on the MQB-A0-IN platform as the Kushaq, the upcoming sedan will be longer and more premium than the Rapid. It will be launched in early 2022.
