Online bookings for the Skoda Kodiaq SUV have been temporarily paused due to a technical issue that the company is working to resolve. However, dealers are still accepting offline reservations. Currently, it is priced at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with attractive dealer-specific discounts available.
The Kodiaq is Skoda’s flagship offering in the country. It is 4699mm long, 1882mm wide, 1685mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2791mm. It is powered by a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine (190PS/320N) paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and all-wheel drivetrain (AWD).
The Kodiaq impresses with its luxurious cabin and tech-savvy interiors. Highlights include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control, heated and cooled front seats, electrically adjustable front seats, a premium 12-speaker Canton sound system, rain-sensing wipers, a wireless phone charger, and cruise control.
Its safety kit comprises nine airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hold and descent control, park assist, and a 360-degree camera.
In the Indian market, the Skoda Kodiaq competes with Jeep Meridian, Toyota Fortuner and soon-to-be-facelifted MG Gloster.
