Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Mana Black Revealed

Royal Enfield has unveiled the Himalayan 450 Mana Black Edition ahead of its expected launch later this month at Motoverse 2025. It is essentially a rally-themed variant of the Himalayan 450 kitted with a host of accessories to take on extreme terrains. Here are the details –

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Mana Black

Being a Rally version, the new Himalayan 450 gets full-length knuckle guards with an aluminium brace, a rally tail section, and a taller, flatter seat. It also features a sleeker number plate holder. All of these make it easier for the rider to move around while riding off-road to manage weight distribution better.

This new seat is positioned at 860mm, higher than the standard Himalayan 450’s 825mm unit. The bike also gets tubeless spoke wheels as standard, while the ground clearance remains unchanged at 230mm. However, it would have been better is the brand had also offered an adjustable suspension setup. Nevertheless, despite all these changes and add-ons, it is 1kg lighter at 195kg.

Powering the bike will be the same 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, “SHERPA” series engine that makes 40PS at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox.

We expect Royal Enfield to price it at around Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Yezdi Adventure and KTM 390 Adventure.

Our Thoughts

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Edition feels like a well-thought-out evolution aimed at serious off-road riders. The rally-inspired ergonomics, lighter weight, and tubeless spoke wheels make it more capable and practical for adventure enthusiasts. However, the higher seat height may limit accessibility for shorter riders, and the lack of adjustable suspension feels like a missed opportunity for a bike that wears the “Rally” tag. Still, given its purposeful upgrades and authentic rally-bike appeal, it bridges the gap between a daily adventure tourer and a competition-ready machine — showing Royal Enfield’s growing confidence in catering to hardcore riders without alienating its core audience.
