In this thread, we’ve analysed how the new Classic 650 compares to its siblings in terms of performance, design, and features.

Shotgun 650 | Parallel-twin, 4-stroke, SOHC, air/oil cooled | 648cc | 47 PS @ 7250 rpm | 52.3 Nm @ 5650 rpm | 6-speed |
Super Meteor 650 | Parallel-twin, 4-stroke, SOHC, air/oil cooled | 648cc | 47 PS @ 7250 rpm | 52.3 Nm @ 5650 rpm | 6-speed |
Interceptor 650 | Inline twin cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC | 648cc | 47.5 PS @ 7250 rpm | 52.3 Nm @ 5150 rpm | 6-speed |
Continental GT 650 | Inline twin cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC | 648cc | 47.5 PS @ 7250 rpm | 52.3 Nm @ 5150 rpm | 6-speed |
Like its stablemates, the Classic 650 is powered by a 648cc, inline twin-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC engine, but here’s how the models differ: –
- The new Classic 650 delivers 47 PS at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm that should offer a balanced mix of performance and smooth cruising.
- The Bear 650 is the most powerful, with 47.5 PS at 7,150 rpm and 56.5 Nm at 5,150 rpm, giving it the highest torque output for punchier acceleration.
- The Shotgun 650, Super Meteor 650, Continental GT 650, and Interceptor 650 match the Classic 650 in power output, with minor tuning differences.
- While all these bikes share the same engine block, the Bear 650 has the strongest low-end pull, which should make it the quickest off the line, whereas the Classic 650 focuses on delivering a relaxed riding experience.
