To commemorate its 10th Anniversary, the French automaker Renault has launched the updated version of its highly popular Kwid hatchback. As part of the latest update, the entry-level offering has received a variant rejig and five new comfort & safety features. But before we head to its details, here's a look at its revised price list: –

As the above table indicates, the brand has discontinued Kwid's STD variant. With this, RXE has become the new base variant of the Renault Kwid, priced at Rs 75,000 more than the former.
2021 Renault Kwid – What's New?
The 2021 Renault Kwid now complies with the new safety norms. That said, it gets dual front airbags as part of the standard safety kit. Furthermore, its safety kit also includes a front driver side pyrotech and pretensioner among others. Besides, its top-spec Climber variant also gets electric ORVMs, and a day/night IRVM. Buyers can now also opt the Kwid Climber in a new dual-tone white color body scheme with a contrast black roof.
Apart from these revisions, the Renault Kwid will continue to feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, manual AC, a 12V charger for rear passengers, rear armrest, ABS with EBD, speed alert system, seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, etc.
As mentioned above, the Kwid is available with two petrol engines: a 0.8-liter (54PS/72Nm) and a 1.0-liter (68PS/91Nm). While the former is mated to only a 5-speed manual, the latter gets both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
In the entry-level hatchback segment, the Kwid locks horn with the Maruti Suzuki Alto, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, and Datsun redi-GO.
