2025 Renault Triber – What’s New?

  • The entry-level Renault Triber RXE variant is now Rs 10,000 more expensive. For this premium, it gets all four powered windows and central locking. Earlier, these features were available from the RXT variant onwards.
  • For a price hike of Rs 20,000, the RXL trim now gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, rear speakers and a reverse parking camera.
  • The 15-inch flexi wheels (steel wheels with alloy-like covers), previously exclusive to the top-spec RXZ trim, are now available on the RXT.

Mechanically Unchanged

The Renault Triber remain mechanically unchanged. It continues to draw its power from a 1-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine (72PS/96Nm) that can be had with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT unit.

Competition Check

The Triber has no direct rival in the Indian market. It can be seen as an affordable alternative to the Maruti Ertiga.

Author’s Take

The update to the Renault Triber is a welcome move, making the lower and mid-spec trims more desirable than before. However, we would have loved it if the brand had introduced a turbocharged petrol engine, as it would have addressed its only major drawback. In all other aspects, like comfort, space and ride quality, the Triber remains an excellent choice.
