Reclining Rear Seats Confirmed for the MG Windsor EV

MG Motor is gearing up to launch yet another EV in the Indian market, the MG Windsor EV. While its launch date is yet to be revealed, the brand has confirmed that the upcoming electric CUV will feature a segment-first Aero-Lounge rear seats with a 135-degree recline function for enhanced luxury and comfort.

The new teaser also shows that the Windsor EV will feature all-black leatherette upholstery all around with diamond-shaped stitchings. The EV will also feature adjustable headrests for all three rear passenger seats, along with a rear centre armrest. The image also confirms the presence of front centre armrest, rear AC vents, ambient lighting and copper colour highlights for doors and centre console tunnel.

MG Windsor EV – Expected Battery Pack and Range

MG is yet to reveal the technicial specifications of the Windsor EV. However, its international-spec version, ie., the Wuling Cloud EV, is available with two battery pack options: a 37.9kWh pack with a 360km range and a 50.6kWh pack with a 460km range. It comes equipped with a front-axle mounted permanent magnet synchronous (PMS) motor chruning out a max power output of 134PS.

Expected Price and Rivals

Position above the MG Air EV in the brand’s India lineup, we expect the Windosr EV to be priced under Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). If this happens, it would place it in straight competition with the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.
