Recall Alert: Maruti Alto K10 Affected by Steering Gearbox Defect

Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall for the 2,555 units of the Alto K10 over a possible defect in the steering gearbox assembly. This issue could impact the vehicle’s steering and handling in rare cases. Hence, it is advisable not to use the cars until the problem is rectified.

Maruti Suzuki hasn’t specified the dates between which these faulty units were manufactured. However, the carmaker’s authorised service centres will soon start contacting customers of affected units. Meanwhile, customers can also visit their nearest Maruti Suzuki Arena service centre to have their vehicle inspected. If the part is found to be defective, the brand will replace it free of cost.
