Production Of Entry-Level Ola S1 Variant To Start By The End Of 2022

Ola Electric has revealed that the production of the base-spec S1 variant will begin by the end of 2022. The company revealed that the majority of customers have opted for the range-topping S1 Pro variant, and so they are prioritizing its production.

The EV maker is also pushing S1 customers to upgrade to the S1 Pro. However, if you don’t update your variant, you will still get the S1 Pro variant, albeit a restricted version, and one can unlock the Pro range, hyper mode, and other smart features with a performance upgrade software package at Rs 30,000.

Ola S1 E-Scooter’s Final Payment Window To Open On January 21

Ola has also revealed the final payment window for the Ola S1 e-scooter will go live on January 21 at 6 PM, for those who have already paid Rs 20,000. Their deliveries will be done by February.

In the other news, Ola Electric has also ramped up its production to 1,000 units a day. The brand is also setting up its public charging infrastructure (called Hypercharger) across the country. It plans to set up 5,000 ‘Ola Hypercharger Network’ charging stations across 100 cities within the first year, with an aim to have 1 lakh charging stations across 400 cities of the country in the future.

Currently, Ola retails the base-spec S1 variant at Rs 99,999, whereas its S1 Pro trim costs Rs 1,29,999 (both ex-showroom, Bengaluru, including FAME II). The price will further go down if you avail of the state subsidy.
