Over 50,000 Kia Carens MPV Booked Within 2 Months, Waiting Period Stretching To 3 Months

Highlights: –

  • Nearly 43 percent of the bookings came for the top-specs Luxury and Luxury Plus.
  • Around 30 percent of the demand was for the Carens’ AT trims.
  • Kia has already commenced third shift at its Anantapur plant to meet the high demand.

The Kia Carens has bagged over 50,000 bookings since the commencement of its reservation on January 14, 2022. Interestingly, 43 percent of the total bookings are for the higher-specced Luxury and Luxury Plus variants, while the demand for petrol and diesel variants are almost equal. Kia also claims that approximately 30 percent of the reservations were for Carens automatic, which is limited to the Prestige Plus and Luxury Plus trims.

Currently, the waiting period for Kia Carens is stretching up to 4 months, depending on the variant. However, the carmaker has already started the third shift at its Anantapur manufacturing plant to fulfill the growing demand.

The huge success of the Kia Carens could be due to its aggressive price range, spacious cabin, and extensive set of premium features. It comes loaded with an all-LED lighting system, dual-tone alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, UVO connected car tech, wireless smartphone charging, auto AC, ventilated front seats, one-touch electric tumble function for the middle-row seats, roof-mounted AC vents, in-built air purifier and much more.

The standard safety kit includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, all-four disc brakes, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill descent control, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
