Over 11,500 Toyota Hyryder Recalled Over Fuel Level Indicator Defect

Toyota India has announced a voluntary recall for the Hyryder due to a potential issue with the SUV’s fuel level indicator. As per the brand, 11,529 units of the Hyryder manufactured between December 9, 2024 and April 29, 2025, are affected by the recall. Its rebadged sibling, the Maruti Grand Vitara, faces the same issue, with 39,506 units being recalled.

What’s The Issue?

Toyota has revealed that the fuel gauge in these recalled units may not indicate the actual fuel level, and the low-fuel warning may not fail to illuminate under certain conditions. As a result, the driver may not be alerted about a low fuel level, which could lead to the engine stopping or stalling due to a no-fuel condition.

How to get it fixed?

Authorised Toyota dealerships will soon start contacting the owners of the affected vehicles to inspect their vehicles, and if found faulty, the part will be replaced at no cost. Meanwhile, customers can also check whether their Hyryder is also part of the campaign by clicking here and entering their vehicle’s VIN number. For any queries or concerns, customers can also call 1800-309-0001.
