Over 10,000 Ola S1 Sold In A Day; Deliveries To Start From Sept 7

Over 10,000 units of Ola’s entry-level S1 electric scooter have been sold within a day of the opening of its purchase window for the ‘early reservers’ yesterday. The purchase window for all other customers has been opened from today. Its deliveries will commence from 7th September 2022.

Currently, the Ola S1 is available at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, including FAME II subsidy). It comes with a 3kWh of Li-ion battery pack that is claimed to offer an ARAI-tested range of 141 kilometers on a single charge. Powered by a mid-drive IPM motor, it delivers a peak output of 8.5kW and 58Nm. With this, it can complete the 0-40kmph sprint in just 3.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 95 kmph.

As for features, the e-scooter gets an all-LED lighting system, three riding modes (Eco, Normal & Sport), reverse assist, keyless entry, a Bluetooth-enabled music system, OTA update support, touchscreen rider’s display with onboard navigation, a dedicated companion mobile app with remote lock/unlock functionality, etc.
