Orxa Mantis Electric Bike Launched At Rs 3.60 Lakh

Startups from Bangalore are making significant strides in the EV sector. Another additions to this trend comes from the same region in the form of Orxa Energies, which has finally launched its first electric motorcycle, the Orxa Mantis, at Rs 3.60 lakh (ex-showroom Bengalore). This e-bike isn’t eligible for FAME-2 subsidy scheme.

Orxa Mantis Bookings and Deliveries

  • Bookings for the Orxa Mantis are now open for a token amount of Rs 10,000, applicable for first 1,000 customers only, while rest will be required to pay a higher token money of Rs 25,000.
  • The deliveries of the first batch will begin in Bengaluru from April 2024, with the following batches starting in July and October 2024.

What Powers The Orxa Mantis?

  • Powering the Orxa Mantis is a liquid-cooled motor that yields a maximum output of 20.5kW and 93Nm, enabling the bike to complete the century sprint in just 8.9 seconds. It claims a top speed of 135 kmph.

Orxa Mantis Battery, Range and Charging Time

  • Regarding the battery pack, it gets a fix-type IP67-rated 8.9kWh battery with an estimated IDC claimed range of 221 kilometers on a single charge.
  • Using the 1.3kW standard charger, the Orxa Mantis can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 5 hours, and with the 3.3kW ”BLITZ” charger, it takes roughly 2 hours 30 minutes for the same.
