Now Shell Out Rs 1.36 Lakh More For Volkswagen T-Roc SUV

Volkswagen has announced the prices of the second lot of T-Roc SUV for the Indian market. The 2021 Volkswagen T-Roc will be available at introductory pricing of Rs 21.35 lakh (ex-showroom), commanding a premium of Rs 1.36 lakh then the 2020 model (Rs 19.99 lakh). Selected dealerships have also started accepting its bookings for a token amount of Rs 51,000. Expect it to be launched in the coming days.

Like the previous lot that was launched in March 2020, the T-Roc will be brought as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU). However, the brand is also considering starting its local assembly at a later stage which would result in price reduction. The 2021 T-Roc will be fully imported in limited numbers by avoiding the local homologation process. But it remains to be seen if the German brand imports only 1,000 units like the first batch.

2021 Volkswagen T-Roc 2021: Will it get any changes?

The 2021 VW T-Roc is unlikely to get any changes. It is expected to carry forward the similar styling and same set of features as the previous version. The notable features of the imported T-Roc SUV include a full-LED lighting system, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, heat-insulated windows and windscreen, multifunction steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, and many more. Safety quotient, on the other hand, will be taken care of by the 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, tire pressure monitoring system front & rear parking sensors with reverse camera, etc.

Under the hood, the VW T-Roc will continue to employ the 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that comes with cylinder-deactivation technology. The engines drive the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In Volkswagen’s current product line-up, the T-Roc SUV sits below the Tiguan Allspace. As of now, it has no direct rivals in the Indian market. But as per its pricing, it could be viewed an alternative to the Skoda Karoq and the Jeep Compass SUVs.
