Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition Launched At Rs 8.27 Lakh

The Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition has finally been launched at Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the brands partnership with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. It is essentially a blacked-out version of the Magnite.

As seen in the table above, the Kuro Edition is based on the Magnite’s XV variant and commands a premium of Rs 46,000 over the regular model. For this added cost, it gets some visual enhancements and added features, such as: –

  • An all-black exterior and interior colour scheme
  • Smoked LED headlamps
  • All-black treatment for the grille and its surroundings, side mirrors, skid plates, and alloy wheels
  • Red brake callipers for added sportiness
  • “KURO” insignia on the fenders
  • Black upholstery
  • Blacked-out therapy for the door trims, door handles, sun visors, steering wheel, AC vents and gear knob

and

  • Wireless smartphone charger

The rest of features are same as the regular XV variant. Key highlights include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, auto AC, rear AC vents, dual-front airbags, ESC, tyre pressure monitoring and much more.

Engine Options

Nissan offers the Magnite Kuro Edition with both 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol (72PS/96Nm) and 1-litre turbocharged petrol (100PS/160Nm) engines. While a 5-speed manual gearbox is standard, the turbocharged mill also gets an optional CVT automatic unit.

Nissan will soon introduce a new 5-speed AMT unit for the naturally aspirated motor.

Rivals

In the sub-4m SUV segment, the Nissan Magnite faces competition from the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon and Renault Kiger.
