Let’s quickly delve into all the necessary details of the 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 –

  • It is powered by an all-new 450cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine called the ”SHERPA 450” that produces 40.02PS of max power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 40Nm at 5,500 rpm, making it 16PS more powerful and 8Nm torquier than the ongoing Himalayan 411.
  • Royal Enfield asserts that the 35Nm of torque is available at as low as 3,000 rpm, providing various benefits, including enhanced low-end delivery, improved rideability, and optimal performance in various riding conditions.
  • The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch to decrease rear-wheel skidding during aggressive downshifting and reduce clutch lever effort during gear shifts.
  • Based on a new frame, the new Himalayan features restyled bodywork with a new fuel tank design and redrafted braces, a new split seat setup, a shorter tailpipe, improved ergonomics, and an all-LED lighting system.

  • For braking, the bike gets disc brakes at both ends – 320mm disc with 2-piston calliper (F) and 270mm with single-piston calliper (R), with switchable dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS) as standard fitment.
  • 1510mm wheelbase | 230mm ground clearance | 17 litres fuel tank | 825-845mm seat height
