At present the second-generation Mahindra Thar is in huge demand with a waiting period stretching up to 9 months, depending on the variant & roof type. The reason for the huge demand is may be due to its monopoly in the Indian market, as it has no direct rival, but it will soon get a fight from the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny and BS6 Force Gurkha.
