Honda 2 wheelers India has released a new teaser video of its upcoming adventure motorcycle that is likely to be called NX200. It will be launched on August 19, 2021.
The teaser shows its LED headlamp that looks similar to the one in the Hornet 2.0, suggesting that this could be based on the naked street motorcycle. However, the headlamp unit is fitted into a semi-fairing with large tank extensions and a smoked visor upfront. This will also make the handlebar lighter as it is free from the headlamp's weight. Also, the handlebar is positioned quite upright and feature plastic knuckle guards with integrated LED indicators.
If you look closely at the teaser, you will notice that the motorcycle gets golden-finished USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock like the Hornet 2.0. You can also get a sight of its engine bash plate and block pattern tires, which implies that this won't be a hardcore off-roader. Besides, it is also expected to get a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and a dual-channel ABS for rider's safety.
In all likelihood, the upcoming Honda ADV will be powered by the same 184cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine as the Hornet 2.0 that generates 17.2PS and 16.1Nm.
Expect the new Honda ADV to be priced at a premium of around Rs 10,000 to 15,000 over the Hornet 2.0, which is currently priced at Rs 1,31,182 (ex-showroom Delhi). The bike will compete with the Hero XPulse 200.
