JSW MG Motor India announced that it recorded retail sales of 4,588 units in September 2024, of which nearly half (49%) of its total sales came from NEVs (New Energy Vehicles).
MG says that the automobile industry faces slow sales due to Shraddha and the extended monsoon in September 2024. However, the company is optimistic about sales growth with the upcoming festive season. Besides, from October onwards, the carmaker will transition to reporting sales through the Vaahan Portal, signalling the maturity of its sales process since entering the Indian market.
In other news, JSW MG Motor India has recently launched the Windsor EV in the Indian market, with prices starting from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers can choose to purchase it with or without a battery (as part of the rental program called BaaS). The same rental program has also been extended for the Comet EV and ZS EV. Besides, the company has also recently launched Strom Editions for the Hector and Astor SUVs. It is also gearing up to launch the facelifted Gloster in the coming months.
