MG Majestor India Launch On February 12

JSW MG Motor is all set to launch the Majestor in India on February 12, 2026. It is a full-size, ladder-frame SUV, which was first revealed at the 2025 Auto Expo. It is essentially a rebadged version of the Maxus D90, sold in international markets, including China and Saudi Arabia.

MG is expected to sell the Majestor, alongside the Gloster SUV.

MG Majestor Exterior Design

Measuring over 5 meters in length, the MG Majestor boasts an imposing design, featuring a huge grille upfront with gloss black elements. It comes flanked by sleek eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs and a three-pod vertically stacked projector LED headlamps that enhance its boxy shape. The lower section of the front bumper features rugged-looking black cladding with silver elements in the centre, with vertical slots that provide it a go-anywhere look.

From the sides, its silhouette is somewhat similar to the Gloster, with the body cladding continuing on the lower portion of the SUV. Riding on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, the SUV gets chunky wheel arches and prominent character lines.

The rear features a modern design with connected LED tail lamps and prominent “MORRIS GARAGES” and “MAJESTOR” lettering. To further enhance its rugged appearance is the silver skid plate featuring a rugged-looking bumper with dual-exhaust tips and a silver skid plate with vertical slats.

While the interior of the SUV wasn’t revealed at the Auto Expo, a spy image suggested that it may look similar to that of the Maxus D90. Having said that, it is expected to get a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment, a digital driver’s display, and a 3-spoke steering wheel. It is expected to be equipped with amenities like powered front seats with memory functions, multiple-driving and terrain modes, three-zone climate control, and a level-2 ADAS suite.

MG Majestor Engine Options

While it’s not official, the Majestor is likely to be powered by the 2-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. A similar powertrain comes in the Maxus D90, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is expected to be offered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.

Expected Price and Rivals

The Majestor is expected to command a hefty price premium over the Gloster, which currently ranges between Rs 38.33 lakh and Rs 42.49 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Toyota Fortuner.
