MG Hector, Hector Plus Prices Slashed By Rs 60,000

In February 2024, MG Motor India announced a price revision across its lineup, making the Hector and Hector Plus more affordable by up to Rs 60,000. Having said that, their prices now start from Rs 14.95 lakh and Rs 17.75 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

A comprehensive price list of the Hector and Hector Plus is not currently available, as MG has only disclosed the starting prices. The carmaker attributes these reductions to increased localisation, long-term freight contracts, streamlined logistics, supply chain improvements, and cost rationalisation of key commodities.

Powering both the SUVs is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2-litre turbocharged diesel unit, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The gasoline mill can also be had with a CVT automatic transmission.

In the Indian market, the MG Hector and Hector Plus compete with the Tata Harrier/Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700 and Jeep Compass.
