MG Comet EV Now Starts From Rs 6.99 Lakh

To celebrate its 100th anniversay, MG Motor has revised the prices of its entire range in India. As part of this, the Comet EV has undergone a substantial price reduction of Rs 1 lakh. Consequently, the all-electric hatch is now available at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

For those who aren’t aware, MG offers the Comet EV in three variants – Pace, Play and Plus. The revised prices for the Play and Plus variants are yet to be revealed.

Rapid Insight Into The MG Comet EV

Measuring 2,974 mm in length, the MG Comet EV is a 3-door, 4-seater, compact EV designed for urban commutes. It is powered by a rear-axle-mounted PMS motor (42PS /110Nm), paired with a 17.3kWh battery pack, claiming a range of 230 km on a single charge. Here’s a look at their specifications: –

Despite its restricted usage, it comes loaded with tons of premium features such as LED headlamps, twin-connected displays (one for infotainment and the other for the driver’s display), wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car technology with voice assistance, steering mounted controls, keyless entry, smart start system, tilt steering, power-adjustable side mirrors, manual AC with heater, power windows, 50:50-split rear seat, day/night IRVM, ISOFIX child seat anchors, tyre pressure indicator, dual-front airbags, and rear parking sensors with camera.
