Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara To Launch On This Date

The launch date of the highly awaited Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has been set for 26th September 2022, the 1st day of the Navratri festival. Bookings for the mid-size SUV are already underway and it has already garnered over 55,000 takers ahead of its market arrival.

Co-developed with Toyota, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be available in six variants (Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Zeta+, Alpha, Alpha+) and two powertrain options: 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, K15C mild-hybrid petrol, and 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder, TNGA Atkinson Cycle self-charging strong-hybrid petrol. While the former makes 103PS/137Nm, the latter delivers a combined power output of 116PS. The mild-hybrid unit will also be available with the segment’s first AllGrip Select All-Wheel-Drive system that gets four driving modes: Auto, Snow, Sport, and Lock.

In terms of features, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is a well-equipped SUV. In its top-spec guise, this SUV comes with automatic LED projector headlamps, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, all-four disc brakes, free-standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech, wireless smartphone charger, a heads-up display (HUD), cruise control, auto AC with dedicated rear vents, ventilated front seats, digital driver’s display, push-button start, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill assist, 3-point belts for all seats, traction control, and much more. It will be offered in a total of nine colors, including six monotone and three dual-tone shades.

We assume Maruti Suzuki to price the Grand Vitara between Rs 10 to 19 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the likes of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and its cousin Toyota Hyryder.
