Maruti Suzuki Extends Warranty, Free service. See conditions
India's Largest passenger vehicle manufacturer Maruti Suzuki today announced that they will extend dates of free service, warranty, etc for all its customers. This is due to ongoing Lockdown in the country amid of COVID-19 outbreak.
Maruti Suzuki in its press release said that they will be extending all the Free service, Manufacturer Warranty, and extended warranty plans which are scheduled to expire between 15th March 2020 to 30th April 2020. The new expiry date for all such plans will be 30th June 2020. Maruti Suzuki also issued advisory via an infographic for all the vehicle owners in order to take proper care of the car during this lockdown period.
As of now, Lockdown is supposed to end on the 3rd of May and there can be a relaxation before that itself if COVID-19 cases decline to a satisfactory number.
Though the press release had no comments on what happens to due paid services which are must to keep the warranty void, we assume it will also be relaxed.
For the warranty plans expiring between 30th April – 3rd May, there is no comment either. But considering the possible relaxation in lockdown by that time, it is advised that such customers should reach out to the desired authorized service center of MSIL.
