Maruti Suzuki Expanded Subscription Based Ownership Program In Four More Cities

Maruti Suzuki has expanded its subscription-based ownership scheme in four new cities: Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar. Earlier, the scheme was only available in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Gurgaon, and Delhi-NCR.

Maruti Suzuki car rental program

Maruti is presenting the leased ownership program in a collaboration with ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services India, which is basically a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, Japan. Under this program, the Indian maker is offering selected variants of Swift, Dzire, Vitara Brezza & Ertiga from Arena showrooms, and Baleno, Ciaz, & XL6 from NEXA dealerships.

From the above-mentioned models, buyers can rent any car for a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 48 months. They just only have to pay the monthly rental installments, which also comprise complete maintenance, insurance, registration charges, and 24×7 roadside assistance. However, the brand won't be responsible for the running cost of the vehicle. It is important to note that the subscription rates may vary depending on several parameters-

  1. The place where the services will be availed.
  2. The trim of the car picked and also the model of the car that you have opted for.
  3. The time period for which you want to avail of the benefits of subscription-based ownership.
  4. Registration type:- As per customer choice, Maruti offers the car in white number plate (registered in the name of the customer) or black number plate (registered in the name of Orix).

After completing the subscription tenure, customers can also opt to continue with the vehicle or they can also upgrade the model, or buy the car at market price.

Commenting on the expansion move, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said-

“The Maruti Suzuki Subscribe program has received encouraging response from the customers. We have received over 6,600 enquiries in the first few months of pilot launch. We are delighted to introduce the program in Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The Maruti Suzuki Subscribe program comes with a bouquet of benefits like flexible tenure, zero down payment, insurance and complete maintenance. The program also provides the customers with peace of mind with 24×7 roadside assistance and customer support. We are aiming to introduce the Maruti Suzuki Subscribe program in 40-60 cities over a period of 2 to 3 years.”
