For those unaware, Maruti Suzuki retails the Jimny from its Nexa dealerships nationwide. It comes with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, K15B petrol engine rated at 105PS and 134.2Nm. It gets an idle start/stop system, and comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission, driving all four-wheelers of the SUV via the Suzuki’s AllGrip 4WD system.

Regarding features, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny’s Zeta variant comes decently loaded, with features like halogen headlamps, analogue instrument cluster with colour MID, powered side mirrors, rear wiper & washer, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 4-speakers, steering mounted controls, six airbags, ESC, hill hold & descent assist, ISOFIX anchors, 3-point seat belts for all occupants and rear parking sensors with a camera.

Compared to the range-topping Alpha variant, it mainly misses out on the LED headlamps, DRLs, auto climate control, headlamps washer, cruise control, push-button start, ARKAYMS tuned premium sound system, and more extensive 9-inch touchscreen infotainment.

In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny faces competition from the Mahindra Thar and diesel-powered Force Gurkha.
