Maruti Fronx Velocity Edition Now Available Across All Variants

Earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Fronx Velocity Edition accessory kit package with the crossover’s turbo-petrol engine option. Now, the company has made it available with all the variants of the Fronx, including non-turbocharged variants.

For those unaware, the Fronx Velocity Edition includes accessories valued up to Rs 45,000.

The range of accessories available for the Fronx Velocity Edition varies depending on the specific variant you choose. Each variant offers a unique set of accessories, allowing customers to customize their vehicles according to their preferences and needs.

To start with, the entry-level Sigma 1.2 variant comes with the following enhancements: –

  • Black & red front bumper garnish
  • Headlamp garnish
  • Wheelarch garnish
  • Front grille garnished in Opulent Red

The Delta, Delta +, and Delta+ (O) variants come with the following additional enhancements compared to the Sigma Velocity Edition trim: –

  • Red inserts in side moulding
  • Black & red rear bumper garnish
  • Illuminated door sill guard
  • Red interior mats
  • Black and red rear spoiler
  • Door visors
  • Red finish on side mirrors
  • Boot door garnish

Powertrain

Maruti Suzuki offers the Fronx with three powertrain options – 1.2-litre 4-cylinder DualJet DualVVT petrol (89PS/113Nm), 1.2-litre petrol with CNG (77.5PS/98.5Nm) and 1-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol (100PS/148Nm). While a manual gearbox is standard, the 1.2-litre non-CNG mill can also be had with a 5-speed AMT unit, whereas the turbo-petrol engine gets the choice of a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Price and Rivals

Prices for the Fronx Velocity Edition start at ₹7.29 lakh (ex-showroom). It serves as an alternative to sub-compact SUVs in the Indian market, such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and more.
