Tata Altroz Racer review

Things That Could Have Been Better In Altroz Racer (Cons)

  • Performance isn’t very enthusiastic.
  • The exhaust note lacks the robustness needed to evoke a sporty sensation, which lowers the overall driving experience typically associated with high-performance vehicles.
  • There is no option for an automatic gearbox.
  • Only one driving mode (Sport).
  • The turbocharged petrol engine is now only limited to the Racer version.
  • High NVH levels – engine noise, road noise, and vibrations from the vehicle’s mechanical components are more noticeable inside the cabin.
  • Notchy gearbox – shifting gears is not as smooth and seamless as one might expect.
  • Inclusion of wider tyres would have significantly enhanced the vehicle’s performance and overall driving experience.
  • The vehicle offers a restricted palette of colour options, which may not cater to the diverse preferences of potential buyers. Additionally, the inclusion of racing stripes as a design feature may not appeal to all customers.
  • Scheduled maintenance visits are required every 6 months / 7,500 km.
