After introducing the WagonR WALTZ Edition last month, Maruti Suzuki has now introduced yet another special edition of its another hatchback, the Baleno. Called the Maruti Baleno Regal Edition, it is essentially an accessorised version available across all variants (Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha) and powertrain options.
Maruti Baleno Regal Edition – What’s Special?
Being an accessorised version of the Maruti Baleno, the Regal Edition gets a host of genuine accessories inside and out, worth Rs 60,199. These accessories enhance the overall convenience and visual appeal of the hatchback.

Maruti Baleno Regal Edition – Features
The Baleno Regal Edition retains all the features of the regular model. Having said that, the hatchback comes loaded with LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, 9-inch floating infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech, colour MID, auto AC, rear AC vents, a heads-up display, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, height-adjustable driver’s seat, engine start/stop button, and much more.
For safety, it gets up to six airbags, a 3-point seatbelt for all, electronic stability control, traction control, a hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain Options
Powering the Maruti Baleno is a 1.2-litre DualJet DualVVT petrol engine (89PS/113Nm), paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT unit. Its manual version can also be had with a factory-fitted CNG kit (77.5PS/98.5Nm), albeit in a lower state of tune.
Regarding fuel efficiency, the Baleno claims 22.35 kmpl with petrol-manual, 22.94 kmpl with petrol-AMT and 30.61 km/kg from the CNG version.
Price and Competition Check
Maruti Suzuki retails the Baleno between Rs 6.66 lakh and Rs 9.83 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza and Tata Altroz.
