Mahindra XUV300 Experienced Another Feature Cut

In May 2021, Mahindra had removed a few features from the XUV300. Now, once again the brand has silently dropped the driver knee airbag from the W8(O) variant of its sub-4m SUV. Hence, it will now be available with a total of six airbags (front, side, and curtain) instead of seven.

The removal of these features so far has slightly lowered the XUV300's brownie status among the competitors. However, it is still one of the most loaded sub-compact SUVs in the segment with features such as first-in-class dual-zone climate control, three-steering mode (Comfort, Normal & Sport), all four-disc brakes, seatbelt reminder for both front & rear seats (1st in the segment), a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with inbuilt navigation, BlueSense plus connected car technology, Apple Carplay & Android Auto, electric sunroof, push-button start/stop, white-colored leatherette upholstery, auto headlamps & wipers, front & rear parking sensors, rear camera with adaptive guidelines, ESP with roll-over mitigation, ISOFIX child seat anchors, hill start assist, corner braking control, and many more. Also, it is worth noting that it is the safest sub-4-meter SUV as per the global NCAP crash test in which it had received a 5-star rating for adult safety & a 4-star rating for child protection.

Under the hood, Mahindra offers the XUV300 with the segment's most torquier and powerful engines. Here's a look at its specifications: –

Currently, the Mahindra XUV300 comes in four variants – W4, W6, W8, and W8(O), which are priced from Rs 7.95 lakh to Rs 13.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It competes with the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Honda WR-V. The brand will soon offer it with a new 1.2-liter direct-injection turbocharged gasoline mill.
