Mahindra Reports 15% Growth in Auto Sales for February 2025, SUV Sales Surge by 19%

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., one of India’s leading automotive companies, has announced its auto sales figures for February 2025, reporting a strong growth of 15% with total volumes reaching 83,702 vehicles, including exports.

  • In the Utility Vehicles (SUV) segment, Mahindra recorded 50,420 units sold in the domestic market, reflecting a 19% year-on-year growth.
  • Including exports, the total SUV sales stood at 52,386 units.
  • The company’s commercial vehicle division also performed steadily, with 23,826 units sold in the domestic market.

Expressing confidence in the brand’s growing momentum, Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said, “In February, we clocked SUV sales of 50,420, a growth of 19%, and total vehicle sales of 83,702, marking a 15% increase. This strong performance is a result of continued positive momentum for our SUV portfolio.”

  • Utility Vehicles: 50,420 units (19% growth YoY)
  • Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV <2T): 3,290 units (-21%)
  • LCV (2T–3.5T): 19,155 units (9%)
  • LCV >3.5T & MHCV: 1,381 units (23%)
  • Three-Wheelers: 6,395 units (4%)

Exports Witness Strong Growth

Mahindra’s exports saw a remarkable jump of 99%, with 3,061 units shipped in February 2025, compared to 1,539 units in February 2024. The cumulative export tally for the year so far stands at 30,566 vehicles, reflecting a 32% growth.

With a growing demand for its SUVs and steady performance across commercial vehicles and exports, Mahindra continues to strengthen its position in the Indian automotive market.
