The Kia Syros, launched earlier this month, has received an overwhelming response from buyers, registering 20,163 bookings in less than two months since bookings started on January 3, 2025.
Kia Syors Bookings Trend
- According to the carmaker, 67% of total customers opted for petrol-powered variants, while the remaining 33% opted for the diesel version.
- The Syros’ premium appeal is evident in the booking trends, with 46% of buyers opting towards owning the higher variants.
- Safety remains a top priority for 18% of customers opting for the HTX+(O) ADAS-equipped variant.
- Glacier White Pearl emerged as the most preferred colour, with 32% of bookings, followed by Aurora Black Pearl and Frost Blue, with 26% and 20%, respectively.
Features Onboard
The Kia Syros is the most feature-rich sub-4m SUV in its class, offering amenities like a full LED lighting system, automatic headlamps, trinity panoramic display comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and an AC display, connected car tech, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, segment-first Over-the-Air (OTA) software update system, 64-colour ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, a 5-inch touchscreen for climate control, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front and rear seats, a wireless charger, a powered driver’s seat, a spacious second row with ventilation, sliding, and recline functions for rear passengers.

On the safety front, the Syros gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, 3-point seat belts for all passengers, traction control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, front & rear parking sensors, a dual dashcam setup, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and Level-2 ADAS.
Kia Syros: Powertrain
Kia offers the Syros with 120PS 1-litre turbocharged petrol and 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engines. While a 6-speed manual gearbox is standard, the petrol mill also gets an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. On the other hand, the oil burner comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox choice.

Price and Rivals
Priced between Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kia Syros is a premium alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq and Tata Nexon.
