Jeep Wrangler Willys ’41 Special Edition Launched At Rs 73.16 Lakh

American automaker Jeep has launched the Wrangler Willys ’41 Edition in India at Rs 73.16 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the range-topping Rubicon variant, this new special edition version is inspired by the original 1941 Willys and is limited to just 30 units. Compared to the standard model, it gets bespoke cosmetic enhancements and additional features.

Jeep Wrangler Willys ’41 Edition – What’s Special?

As mentioned above, the Wrangler Willys ’41 Edition comes with a host of visual changes over the special edition, which comprises an exclusive “41 Green” paint and a bold “1941” decal on the hood, denoting it is a limited edition. In addition, it also gets a powered side step for easy ingress and egress, along with a front & rear dashcam for added safety. Jeep has also provided it with all-weather floor mats.

The company is also offering an optional roof carrier with a side ladder and a sunrider rooftop, priced at Rs 4.56 lakh.

Aside from the above-mentioned changes, the Willys ’41 remains unchanged. It continues to blend the rugged functionality of the regular model with modern comfort and technologies.

Designed to reflect its tough nature and go-anywhere attitude, this American off-roader features durable materials, washable interiors with drain plugs. For creature’s comfort, it comes loaded with 12-way powered front seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 552Q Alpine sound system, a 7-array microphone for noise cancellation, heated front seats & steering wheels, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch TFT MID, dual-zone AC, push button start/stop, wireless charger, auto-dimming IRVM, and much more.

Its safety kit comprises six airbags, ABS with EBD, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control system, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a rearview camera and an ADAS suite.

Its approach, departure, and breakover angles are rated at 36 degrees, 31 degrees, and 21 degrees (20 degrees for the Unlimited variant). respectively.

Engine and Transmission

Powering the Jeep Wrangler is a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 270PS/400Nm and comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It also benefits from Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system and an exclusive Rock mode.
