Jeep Meridian Overland Edition – What’s Special?
Based on the top-spec Limited Plus variant, the new Jeep Meridian Overland Edition gets plenty of cosmetic embellishments over the regular model. These include: –
- Slightly revised grille with more chrome
- Body-coloured cladding
- New alloy wheels
- Suede accent inside the cabin
- Suede upholstery
- Copper inserts on the dashboard and around the AC vents and lower central console

Regarding features, it carries forward all the whistles and bells of the standard model. Notable highlights include automatic LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats with ventilation, cruise control, smart keyless entry with push button start, and multiple terrain modes (Sand/Mud, Snow, Auto).
Its safety kit includes six airbags, front & rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, traction control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start & descent assist, and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain
Powering the Jeep Meridian is a 2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 170PS and 350Nm. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

In the full-size SUV segment, the Jeep Meridian locks horns with the MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner and petrol-powered Skoda Kodiaq.
