Hyundai To Setup Ultra Fast Charging Stations Across Major Highways

Auto manufacturers are collaborating with EV charging brands to set up fast-charging networks for their customers, which is truly pushing more and more buyers to adopt electric vehicles. Hyundai Motors India is the latest automaker to announce the such project. The carmaker announced the installation of its Ultra-High Speed Public EV Charging Network across key highways and cities in India. Each fast charging station will comprise one unit of 150 kW DC Ultra-Fast Charger and one unit of 60 kW DC High-Speed Charger.

Hyundai aims to establish 10 such EV charging stations by the first half of 2023, with two of them already been installed on the Hyderabad- Vijayawada (Narketpalle) and Delhi- Chandigarh (Kurukshetra) highways. Furthermore, these chargers will be deployed on routes connecting Delhi to Jaipur, Mumbai to Pune, and Bengaluru to Chennai. EV charging stations are being rolled out in metropolitan cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

Hyundai further states that these charging stations are established at sites having fair customer amenities like coffee shops/ restaurants to induce customer delight further while charging their EVs. Furthermore, these stations will be accessible 24X7 and will be manned with marshals to support and assist EV consumers.
