Hyundai India Plans 26 Launches By FY2030, Including 6 EVs

Hyundai is shifting gears for the future and has shared its product roadmap for India. The Korean giant will introduce 26 models in our market by FY2030, including twenty ICE and six all-electric vehicles. This will comprise a mix of all-new models and upgrades to current models. What’s more interesting is that Hyundai will also bring strong-hybrid models to the Indian market for the first time.

According to Hyundai India MD & CEO, Unsoo Kim, this strategy reflects the brand’s strong commitment to innovation and customer value. He also confirmed Hyundai’s intent to tap into eco-friendly powertrains like hybrids, alongside their existing petrol, diesel, and EV offerings.

While it is not official, some of the key launches could include new-gen Hyundai Venue and Creta (probably with hybrid powertrains), facelift iterations of the Exter, i20, Creta Electric & Ioniq 5, and a new hybrid mid-size SUV, which is expected to be placed between Alcazar and Tucson.

This massive launch plan is Hyundai’s way to adapt to shifting customer preferences amid rising competition. Although it is still India’s 2nd largest passenger vehicle manufacturer after Maruti Suzuki, competitors like Tata and Mahindra are closing in fast, especially in the SUV and EV segments. So this aggressive product strategy will help Hyundai to boost its market appeal, keep customers engaged and regain lost market share.

As of now, Hyundai has fourteen models in its Indian portfolio, comprising the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Exter, i20, i20 N Line, Venue, Venue N Line, Creta, Creta N Line, Creta Electric, Verna, Alcazar, Tucson and Ioniq 5.
